She has covered sports in some of the most prestigious publications around the world. The last decade was spent at The Washington Post covering football and basketball as well as multiple Olympics and Grand Slam Tennis. Nichols was hired by ESPN in 2004 and worked for 9 years at the network, earning two Emmy Awards. She also appeared on the most popular shows on ESPN including SportsCenter and NFL Countdown. Additionally, she worked as a correspondent for Monday Night Football on the network. Following her departure from ABC, her following station was CNN as well as Turner Sports.
